Our Origin

We Were the Bottleneck. So We Fixed It.

Skyfire wasn't born in a startup accelerator or a VC pitch meeting. It was born in a solar design firm — where we spent a decade doing this work the hard way before writing a line of code.

We Started as a Solar Design Firm

In 2013, we were a solar design and engineering firm. We designed residential and commercial systems, chased permits, coordinated PE stamps, and dealt with every AHJ quirk across the country.

We were good at it. But we were also drowning.

Every project meant juggling spreadsheets, re-entering data across tools, and praying we didn't miss a compliance requirement that would come back as a rejection. We'd fix the same mistakes over and over — not because we were careless, but because there was no system to prevent them.

We were the bottleneck in our own process. And we hated it.

We Built Tools to Survive. Then We Realized Others Needed Them Too.

At some point, we stopped accepting the chaos. We started building internal tools — not to sell, just to survive.

A compliance checker that flagged errors before submission. A workflow that captured data once and pushed it everywhere. A system that remembered what each AHJ required so we didn't have to look it up every time.

These tools were ugly. They were duct-taped together. But they worked.

Projects that used to take weeks started taking days. Permit rejections dropped. Our team could handle more volume without burning out.

That's when we realized: if we needed this, every solar installer needed this.

Every Mistake We Made Is Now a Rule That Protects You

Skyfire isn't a database of requirements you look up. It's a decade of hard-won knowledge encoded into automated workflows.

AHJ Intelligence

Thousands of jurisdiction-specific rules learned from real submissions. Not scraped from websites — learned from approvals and rejections.

Compliance Prevention

Every permit rejection we ever got became a validation rule. The system catches errors before you make them — because we already made them.

Workflow Logic

The sequence that works. The handoffs that don't. The data that needs to flow where. All encoded from years of trial and error.

This isn't the kind of knowledge you can build in a feature sprint. It takes years. It takes thousands of projects. It takes actually doing the work.

You Get a Decade of Experience Without the Decade

When you use Skyfire, you're not just using software. You're using the accumulated knowledge of a team that spent 10 years in the trenches — designing systems, chasing permits, learning every AHJ quirk the hard way.

We built Skyfire because we needed it. Now it's yours.

You don't have to make the mistakes we made. You don't have to learn every AHJ's quirks through rejection. You don't have to build your own compliance checklists or chase PE stamps manually.

We already did that. And we encoded all of it into a system that actually works.
